Privacy Policy — ADAPT
Last updated: 23 August 2026
This policy describes what ADAPT collects, why, and what you can do about it. It was written from the app's actual database schema rather than from a template, so everything listed here is something the app really stores.
ADAPT is operated by Pranjal Tiwari. Questions or requests: ragewithveldo@gmail.com.
The short version
- We store what you tell us during setup and what you log while training.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- Your health information is used to build your plan and for nothing else.
- You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, at any time, without asking us.
What we collect
Account
- Email address — to identify your account and let you sign in.
- Display name, if you choose to add one. Shown only to you.
Health and fitness information
This is the sensitive part, so it is listed in full.
- Body measurements: weight, height, and body measurements you choose to record (waist, hips, chest, thigh and similar).
- Sex, used only to apply a safe minimum daily calorie amount.
- Year of birth, used to estimate energy needs.
- Training goal, experience level, and available equipment.
- Health screening answers (the PAR-Q questions about heart conditions, chest pain, dizziness, joint problems, blood-pressure medication, pregnancy and any other reason not to exercise).
- Everything you log while training: exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, perceived effort, and when each set was recorded.
- Session history: which sessions were planned, completed, moved or rebuilt.
- Strength baselines you enter or that are derived from your logs.
Daily routine
- Wake and sleep times, working hours, commute length, preferred training times, and meal times — used to place sessions and meals in your day.
Food
- Dietary pattern, allergies and intolerances, foods you dislike, cuisine preference, where you shop, grocery budget, cooking confidence, kitchen equipment, and whether you use protein supplements.
- Which planned meals you ticked as eaten. This records only that a meal we planned was eaten — the app has no food diary and does not record anything you ate outside its own plan.
- Glasses of water recorded per day.
Technical
- Usage of our recipe-generation service (which endpoint, model, token counts and cost) so we can control costs and prevent abuse.
- Data cached on your own device so the app works offline, along with your choice of light or dark appearance.
- Reminders, if you switch them on, are scheduled entirely on your phone. They are off by default, we do not use push notifications, and we do not collect a device token — nothing about a reminder ever reaches us.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, advertising identifiers, or your activity in other apps.
Why we collect it
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Body measurements, sex, age | To calculate safe calorie and protein targets |
| Health screening answers | To direct you to a professional before training if your answers indicate it |
| Goal, experience, equipment | To build a program you can actually perform |
| Training logs | To set your next targets and show your progress |
| Routine and meal times | To place sessions and meals where they fit your day |
| Food preferences and allergies | To generate recipes that are safe and appropriate for you |
| Service usage | Cost control and abuse prevention |
We do not use any of it for advertising, profiling for marketing, or any purpose other than running the app for you.
Who else sees it
- Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in. Your data is stored there under access rules that allow only your own account to read it.
- Anthropic processes recipe generation. When you generate meals we send: your dietary pattern; allergies and intolerances; disliked foods; region and cuisine preference; grocery budget band; cooking confidence; whether you have a kitchen scale and how long you have to cook; whether you use protein supplements; which meal of the day it is; and a calorie and protein target for that meal. Those targets are calculated on our side. We do not send your name, email, year of birth, weight, height, health screening answers or training logs.
- Expo hosts the over-the-air update service the app checks on launch, so it can be fixed without waiting for a new App Store release. That check sends the app version and platform, and Expo sees your IP address as it would for any web request. No account data is sent, and the check happens whether or not you are signed in.
- Apple provides TestFlight and the App Store, and receives whatever they collect under their own policies.
We do not sell your data or share it with data brokers or advertisers.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, everything listed above is removed immediately and permanently, apart from the anonymous recipes described below.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete my account. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm.
This removes your account and all data associated with it — profile, schedule, food preferences, programs, sessions, every logged set, meal plans, grocery lists, body measurements and water records — in one operation. It cannot be undone and does not require contacting us.
One exception: recipes generated for you are stored in a shared pool and reused for other people with similar requirements. They carry no link to your account and contain no information that identifies you, so they are not deleted with it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to how it is processed. Deletion is available in the app immediately. For anything else, contact ragewithveldo@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the UK or EU, our legal basis is the contract between us — we process this data because it is what makes the app work. For health information specifically, we rely on your explicit consent, which you give during setup and withdraw by deleting your account.
Children
ADAPT is not intended for anyone under 16, and the app does not accept an age below 13 at setup. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access rules that restrict every record to the account that owns it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Medical disclaimer
ADAPT is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It does not assess your body or interpret symptoms. Speak to a qualified professional before starting a new training programme, particularly if your health screening answers indicate you should.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for anything significant, tell you in the app.
